About Elaine
Elaine Cole, Marriage and Family Therapist, is an expert in helping facilitate
communication between people in personal and professional relationships. Elaine
has a full time practice and sees clients in two different locations -- Sherman Oaks
and Culver City. Born and raised in California, Elaine studied at the University of
California, Los Angeles and went on to achieve a Master's degree in Psychology at
the California Graduate Institute. Her notable education combined with her level of
expertise, has provided her a reputation of high success and regard.
In addition to a full time practice, Elaine is a teacher with the University of Judaism
and has worked with rewarding professional organizations including The National
Treatment Center at Del Amo for trauma and sexual addiction recovery and
California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists. Her accomplishments also
include the start up of the world renowned Stanley H. Kaplan Education Center,
known for its high success rate in preparing students for the grueling entrance
exams that are required for graduate school admittance. Elaine speaks regularly at
local Universities and other organizations on popular topics such as stress
management and college orientation and has co-authored articles on subjects such
as finding a good therapist and the importance of a solid family foundation.
Elaine's success and solidarity is attributed to many things but the most important is
her long term marriage of 39 years and the joy she and her husband have had in
raising two children, now grown and successful adults with families of their own.
